| Bio: | I am a country girl living in the city. I have a background in agriculture and a dream to be a self sufficient homesteader. I love plants and animals and getting my hands in the dirt and am in the process of learning to grow things in my limited space. I am also reading a lot about organic gardening and permaculure so hopefully in a few years down the track when we move to the country I will have half an idea of how to grow things to provide for ourselves. I have mostly worked with stock (sheep, horses and cows) and am fine handling whatever they might throw at me, but still have a long way to go before I would consider myself a Gardener! In the meantime I am also learning (or planning to learn) traditional skills like canning, spinning, leatherwork etc. I look forward to the day that I can provide for almost all my needs without having to step foot in a shopping mall! | |
